Recent fertility declines in Brazil, Colombia and Mexico (英语)

Because of decline in fertility, population growth has been declining in Brazil and Colombia since the mid-1960s and in Mexico since the mid-1970s. The paper examines the determinants of the onset and spread of fertility decline in each country and concludes that both supply and demand factors contributed to their acceleration.
