This note sets out guidelines for the design of pour-flush latrines, based upon the experience of the Technical Advisory Group in India, Brazil and elsewhere. These guidelines have been written especially for use in developing countries. Consequently, emphasis has been placed on achieving simplicity of design consistent with reliability of operation.
