Half of Youth in Sub-Saharan Africa are Out of School (阿拉伯语)

This story highlights around 89 million youth, ages 12 to 24 years, are out of school in Sub-Saharan Africa. A new World Bank report examines factors that lead to 12- to 24-year-olds dropping out. It highlights six characteristics of out-of-school youth. Three policy entry points are particularly important to keep youth in school: retention of at-risk youth in school, remediation through alternative education, and integration with the labor market.
