The development objectives of the Cyclone Ian Reconstruction and Climate Resilience Project for Tonga are to: (i) restore housing, community facilities, and basic services to the affected population of Ha’apai; and (ii) strengthen the country’s resilience to natural disasters. The restructuring will extend the closing date of the global facility for disaster reduction and recovery trust fund (TF)-17580 from 31 December, 2016 to 30 June, 2018.
